Give me a nice pair of shoes and I won’t say ‘No’. Give me a hot pair of sexy boots and it’s a whole different story that starts with a ‘Hell yeah’. That’s how it is with Fringe Boots. They just sum up the two best things in fashion: 1) Shoes. Doh, and 2) Trends, with fringe being huge in 2015 Spring/Summer.

Okay, so fringe boots are not a new thing at all (70s hello!), nor is fringe as a trend actually. Remember last year? So I think it’s only natural that everything today coexists in this sartorial happy marriage that celebrates personal style more, rather than just the trends.

If you’re on board and in love with the fringe boots, or kinda wish you were let’s get down to business here: HOW do we wear them?

I feel like the best fringe boots are the ones made from suede, or fabrics other than patent leather. In other words, regardless of the boot style (tube, high, ankle, wedge, stiletto, block heels) let it all be about the fringe and not the fabric, to avoid a total shoe-chaos slash kitsch.

Styling fringe boots is all about the balance architectural thing, and the vibe of the look. As stiletto, thin, sleek as fringe boots may be, they are a foot statement somewhat heavier than your regular sleek simple boots, so make sure you keep the rest of your outfit rather fitted or sleek and not too oversized.

Fringe boots look best with:

  • shorts. You can do a sweater on top, a tee + blazer/jacket.
  • mini skirts (fitted, A-line or flirty)
  • dresses. Short dresses work best, especially fitted ones (think mini black dress with long sleeves + black fringe boots) or flirty ones (think boho chic style).
  • skinny pants (jeans, leggings, leather)

Best Fringe Boots? Whatever your inner fashionista decides. Personally I love black fringe boots with heels. Also grey or nude styles!

I can’t believe I haven’t given too much attention to fringe boots up to now. Hmm. It was only after 2 of my friends posted pics with their fringe boots on Instagram, that it hit me: HOT boots alert! YAS! So… here I am now, with a major crush on these booties. Going shopping tonight… guess we all know how that’s going down.

Have a great weekend y’all! xoxo

I love fringe boots by Marant, I have been dreaming about them for ages but they have sold out before I could scrape the money together.
