Beyonce Does Lemonade, We Do YELLOW.

So Could Yellow-Mellow Be A Trend This Summer?

Okay ladies and gents pour yourselves a lemonade and let’s talk about it. Beyonce, aka Queen Bee (yellow alert #1) has recently killed it with her 1h visual masterpiece ‘Lemonade’ (yellow alert #2), in which she talks and sings about the most important issues for her and for women all over the world, AND in which she is also killing it fashion wise. To be more precise Bey is pure magic, and strength, and beauty, and power, and unbelievable sexy empowerment in her yellow 70s inspired dress. Oh. My. God. (yellow alert #3).

As much as I’d love to sip on yellow lemonade with y’all, after having watched and listened to Lemonade, so that we can now talk about all the Lemonade issues, I can’t. I’m such a buzzkill right now, but I haven’t watched it. It’s on my list though. I have seen trailers and read tons of stuff on it and while doing so… the yellow trend idea would not, for the love of God, leave my mind. I went shopping just yesterday, when ‘Lemonade’ was already out, and it’s like I’ve seen enough yellow and mustard cloths to last me a lifetime. So… I did the only math I ever do, and I put one and one together and came with the yellow trend gimmick.

It’s spring-summer, it’s 70s reminiscent, it’s retro but vibrantly trendy, and it has been exploited on catwalks so why not give in to it?

Perhaps Bey’s film was just an excuse my brain needed. Maybe it was the tick and click it needed to finally read the bloody writings on the wall, but it worked and I honestly think YELLOW is a trend this summer 2016.

I may be biased as I LOVE this colour, but if Bey sings ‘Lemonade’ and wears lemonade clothes, why can’t I do my lemonade shit? God knows I got plenty of yellow mellow clothes and quite a few issues on my tongue as well.

I’m also aware the sartorial world relies a lot these days on personal style, and spur of the moments situations (like this one), so imma just capitalise on it and stick with my yellow trend proclamation while I hopefully make time to watch ‘Lemonade’ and why not, get my ass right back here with a let’s talk about the Lemonade issues post.

Amen to that.

Until then, phuleaseeeeeeeeee let’s all wear yellow and be Queen bees. Pleaseeeeee! It really is such a flattering colour on everybody and is embodies summer like you can’t imagine.
