Well, I don’t know about that, but with the band T-shirts Trend being so HUGE, we sure come across as obsessed fans. OK, so we established the non-per se factor of the groupie urban definition, but why do we persist in this misleading direction? For sartorial purposes. D’ohhh. The music band T-shirts Trend was massive in the 90’s (OMG, this 90s comeback is starting to sound redundant), and with the decade’s fashion revival still hot, no wonder we’re channeling those Seattle grunge fans with a penchant for Nirvana rather than style. So this trend was born a while ago, but why is it crawling back in our polished little closets? Fashion Obsession!
How can we say NO to an Iron Maiden or Ramones tee when it looks so cool against tons of feminine statement blings, high heels and pencil skirts or skinny trousers? It’s sophistication to the core baby. Sure we can do the band T-shirt Trend as it once was: ripped jeans, cutoffs, motorcycle boots, flannel shirts over or tied at the waist, round frame sunnies, middle part long hair, BUT 2013 comes with a break of fashion boundaries. Posh pencil skirts (leather’s on my mind), classic heeled pumps, band T-shirt tucked in, rolled up sleeves, colored big necklaces or statement earrings, funky big bag or clutch, a blazer, leather/bomber jacket or coat hanging off the shoulders – and it’s the ultimate style. What’s up with this post? tees & autumn. Hello! Before you dis it, think about the tones of summer things we wear way into winter. Riiiiiight. T-shirts are just that. Best item to layer over in autumn, so we’re likely to stick to this summer trend quite a lot in this cold season. Oh… and I forgot to write about it summer.
Summer. Autumn. Winter. Pffff. What’s a season when we talk fashion? Especially when we’ve got the layering waiting for us. So yeah I’ll keep wearing T-shirts underneath an office black blazer or mom-cardigan, and I’ll make it band tee goddammit. Throw in some bling and red lips and it don’t get more luxe grunge/rockenroll than this. Who’s T-shirted? (read immortalized on your trendy top) You’d think after over 15 years we’d come up with new band ideas for display, but classics are still in and the biggest bands trends tees remain those who actually started this trend in the 1st place back in the day: Iron Maiden, Guns’n Roses, Nirvana, Ramones, Pink Floyd… and so on. Oh NO!!!! No Justin Bieber?!!! Just kidding.
Enough talk. Let’s just see how it’s done & how it looks. Street Style Inspo from sporty luxe, to glam, to grunge, to anything you want. The sky’s the limit. Have a great weekend girls :) xoxo
After research a couple of of the blog posts in your web site now, and I really like your method of blogging. I bookmarked it to my bookmark website record and will probably be checking back soon. Pls try my site as properly and let me know what you think.
My favorite band T-shirt comes with me everywhere. With a blazer to the office. With denim shorts and thigh-high socks to class. With a leather skirt everywhere else. I love this post, all the outfit inspiration and your style.

i hate it when people see a girl with a band shirt on and ask’s them if they know any of the song’s or truly like the band it’s a band shirt which mean’s any one can wear them so much hate
Best kind of fashion!
;) Thanks Kat! i love it too xo
Hmm…not sure about this. it looks cool, but I am always wondering if these girls have ever, ever listend to one song, e.g. of Iron Maiden…and just wearing it because it is a trend..i don´t know.
If i got in contact with a person wearing a band shirt i would always ask about it (i am obessed with music) and if this person does not know anything about it (except it is a band hahahhaa)…No-go.
haha, i’ve thought of putting that in my post as well (whether all the wearers are actually fans of those bands). I suppose they all know the bands. i mean they’re major anyway, don’t know about all having listened to them, but i actually see no harm in wearing this without being a fan. ooopsy, i know, kinda lame, but i;m thinking i’d wear an Iron Maiden tshirt, though i’m not a huge fan. I know them, but if the tee looks cool bring it on ;) Thanks Zoe xoxo
I agree with you, though I’m not some kind of ‘music-nazi’ if you know what I mean… I think that it’s similar situation like with that famous photo of Che Guevara – people (especially very young) wear T-shirts, badges and other stuff like that with his picture just because it looks ‘cool’ or ‘everyone wears it now’ and they even don’t know what’s his name. Strange :/
yeah i know what u mean babe. so well put! xx
