On Wednesday evening the glamorous faces of fashion & entertainment put on their best gowns and stepped into the spotlight to honor individuals who have made exceptional contributions to the fight against AIDS. The NYC gala is always held on the eve of New York Fashion Week, and kicks off the show season with cocktails, dinner, a live auction of luxury items, and a special tribute to the honorees. (Heidi Klum, Keneth Cole, Janet Jackson). Among the beautiful faces that graced the red carpet this year I loved: Sarah Jessica Parker in a pink silky fluid dress (listen, not her best choice but this uber charismatic woman has got style and she can pull of literally any dress, look & gown…), Alexa Chung (same preppy style, same haircut, same awkwardness… alright I guess. Definitely not bad but she was named by a few websites as the best dressed. Really? I’ve seen better, to be honest with you), Poppy Delevigne (that tea length silky metallic gown was pretty gorgeous on the posh Brit), Leigh Lezark (she’s a blonde now. yes or no to this new look?), Doutzen Kroues (loved her dress), Heidi Klum (stunning), Ashlee Green (amazing look) and some other ladies who had a bit of a carpet miss this time (scroll down for worst dressed).
