Let’s Play Rainbow HAIR!

For some of us, rainbow hair aka the pink, lavender, blue, green hair trend is just a fad we come across on our Social Media over coffee. Who’s pink right now? Who’s going blue or green? And do we like it or not. We could’t possibly do this look  for job reasons, lacking balls, or maybe just  not-feeling-it-enough.

For the other half of us, the Rainbow Hair Trend is just like ripped jeans for example. Been there done that.

The question is, which half do you belong to? To make today more fun, let’s play a game. Assuming you want to color your hair in one f these crazy cool shades, but something’s stopping you, let’s pretend you’re not a mortal for one month, but a VIP of your own choice (actress, model, rockstar, artist) and you simply can (cause really, why not?) or have to color your hair for one whole month. Which shade would you go for? … … … I’m playing this game as well, as I’m part of the 1st group due to lacking balls. Buuuuut, had I more courage I’d do it pink. Or maybe lavender. Even blue at some point. Never green though. Cause I don’t think it’d go with my eyes and my complexion. BTW, how do we even know which shade would look better, cause I may like pink, but would pink like me? Anyway, I feel like in my my case at least this talk is purely hypothetical. Cause of the age thing, you know. Pink-hair-don’t-care seems to me more of a teenager, 20s kinda trend. Until I saw Nicole Richie. LOVE her. Love her show, love her style and adore her purple hair. And then I got to thinking that, yeah the crazy color hair thing is a pretty quirky trend, but so were sneakers & skirts or sequins during the day a while ago. At the end of the day it’s HOW you wear it, regardless of age. And if you can pull it off, pink hair can look fabulous for any occasion. So can any color. It’s just hair dye right? Yes it’s a style & mood statement, but are we not bombarded all the time to feel free, to be creative, to fuck boundaries and live fashion to its fullest?

Contrary to what I’ve initially thought a while back when this trend first appeared, it stuck. It stuck with more and more followers  jumping onto the rainbow hair thing. I’m guessing though it won’t be long until it dies, soooo we might consider taking a few notes from our faves celebrities and just color our manes. Maybe not entirely, just strands of hair, dip dye it…
