Head Wraps Fashion Trend. Celebrities & Street Style
Whether inspired by pin up beauties, 1960’s movie stars, ethnic cultures, fashion shows or even celebs – head wraps are so hot right now! I’m seeing so many beautiful sexy edgy styles of this trend in London that I have declared it the next street trend! Who copied it from who I have no idea. And it doesn’t really matter does it? Celebs got some inspiration from edgy nonchalant street trendsetters and we get courage and ideas from the rich and famous! However it may be, the head wrap holds within it countless styling ways depending on personal touch, mood, choice of color, accessories, outfit, way of wrapping it… You can go as an elegant Audrey Hepburn, an edgy Solange Knowels or a boho – gypsy Nicole Richie. After all it is said to be her that brought back the head scarves, isn’t it?
For a 1940’s pinup look or a Rihanna or Beyonce (in ‘Why Don’t You Love Me’ video) wrap the scarf around your head and tie it up in a knot. Depending on the look you’re going for, throw in some big statement earrings, maybe a bright (go for Red) lipstick or cat yes. Or give it a punk or rock twist with an urban outfit!
For a boho-romantic-gypsy look wrap it around your head and tie it in the back, leaving its endings flow. Need inspiration? Peek into the styles of Nicole Richie or Blake Lively. Many of those fashion editorials out there come in helpful as well, especially now as we’re approaching summer. This look is mostly a huge comeback in the hot season. A colorful sexy wrapped scarf can be just the look for a beach day or exotic vacation, don’t you think?
For an exotic, tribal, sultry, sexy vibe let yourself be inspired by the amazing ethnic cultures and wrap a long colored, printed scarf around your head. Besides the various styling options, this is simply a brilliant, effortlessly and cool way of escaping a bad hair day. Plus looking so hot and trendy on top of it. Take you inspirations from: Jennifer Lopez or India Arie. She showed up in a white suite, heels and a white head wrap on the red carpet – and stole the camera flashes away!
