Rita Ora Style. Urban Glam Or Kitsch?

‘R.I.P. to the girl you used to see’ are lyrics Rita Ora might have taken too serious, style wise, as she was seen out and about just a few days ago rocking a new look. Her platinum long curls are now replaced by a short blond hairstyle with black roots a  new fashion statement… Or perhaps the beginning of a forever changing hairstyle for her. Hey, did’t Rihanna start just about the same way? One might dare think Miss Ora is channelling Rihanna by the minute. Or not?

Fun, daring, hot, sexy & a mess, Rita Ora can sure make anyone turn some heads over her style. Her now-yesterday’s blond curls & bright red statement lips, fingers, neck & ears adorned with all the blings one can find and wear all at the same time, baggy clothes and big shoes – make Rita Ora one woman not afraid to express herself. And that ladies is something to strive for. Force, braveness & nonchalance – all with a smile on your face. I always did say fashion is about having fun and I respect all those who know how to play and explore all there is to this otherwise regarded as too superficial area.

Rita Ora is the girl who looks the loudest and most fun in a crowd and that transpires in her style: electric coloured tight tops showing bare mid-riff paired with long skirts, denim cut-offs or baggy trousers. Funky shoes are her signature as well as the boxy boyfriend jackets, leather studded or denim ones. Though she dresses up in rather masculine, ghetto, bad boy’ish clothes,  Rita Ora‘s style is nonetheless very sexy & hot. A bit kitsch for some, her ghetto glam style allows her to just mix and match anything from masculine to feminine, from prints to patterns from past styles to present trends. She’s eclectic & daring, with her boyfriend T-shirts and chunky glamorous jewellery. She’s a hot mess in sluttish tops & short shorts, covered more by her jewellery opulence rather  than her clothes. But who cares, right? Oh and let’s not forget her most signature items apart from the golden locks and red lips: hats & long kitsch nails. But this girl can definitely turn up the hotness and sophistication when on the red carpet! She turns to high heeled pumps, tight knee length lace dresses, long sleeves, white elegance… locking up the ghetto girl and unlocking the elegant classy persona.
