Love it or hate it, the one piece swimsuit stuck, courtesy of celebs looking to jazz up their beach style by… covering up, or of us mortals who, instead of working our abs would rather eat a late carbs dinner and trade the 2 piece bikini for the one piece little sexy thang. And you know what? It is so much sexier, don’t you think?

Or maybe it’s just the novelty of it. In 2014 that is, cause the one piece swimwear is anything but new in fashion. Hello!!! 90s resurrection all over again with a bit of those 80s and what do you say, what do you know – the one piece little shit is back in action, looking more fabulous than ever. 
What does this tell us ladies?
Well maybe the old and wise are right after all: ”the less you show the sexier you are”. That, and fashion is an inconsistent bitch.
Although… (beware I might be way off right now, but bare with me for a second) – the one piece swimsuit actually seems hotter than its 2 piece sibling AND less body forgiving for some reason. I did say something about that late snack, but the reality is you’ve got to have a great bod for any bikini style, and the one piece is no exception. Actually it requires killer legs, bum, and, okay those abs are undercover, but the rest of it is not, so… not much of a deal is it. And the purpose of it is not really attained either. You know, tanning sans extra lines. 
So what the hell is the hype with this beach trend then? Well… it looks fucking amazing, and quite versatile, depending on its cut, print, color and design. Having said that a one piece swimsuit can be the perfect style shtick for the end of a holiday, when you’ve got your tan & plenty of days in the sun, and you just wanna enjoy drinks by the pool & parties on the beach. 
The looks of a one piece swimsuit can range from:
- retro styles: not a very deep cut, usually with incorporated bras, strapless or halter neck, in retro chic prints or ice-cream colors
- luxe glam: it’s either black or white, very sexy, bling embellished, perfect for a posh party pool
- sporty: Baywatch meets swimmer girl
- rocknroll chic: it’s glam, but really effortless, it’s sporty but hot & sophisticated and usually it’s a basic black or white style (plus tattoos and accessories) OR an animal / bold text prints style.
A massive trend alert is the WHITE ONE PIECE SWIMSUIT that really translated from the basic luxe style to a very cool, urban glam beach look. Love it!

i’ve been giving it a go for years… as you probably know from my post. but, obviously, it hasn’t been for trend purposes! it’s more for the baby belly coverage. still trying to get into the classic bikini though! gotta go do some crunches. ciao!
