Winter White: How to Dress for a Skiing Trip

As a girl who has more black outfits than an orthodox priest let me just say that wearing white (and colour for that matter) is a bit of a surprise. And no easy task let me tell you that. #outofmycomfortzone BUT if there’s one thing I’m sure of is that I actually LOVE IT. I specifically love the winter white looks and outfits cause they seem so crisp, fresh, and very luxurious somehow. And for spring and summer all-white outfits look incredibly rich and sophisticated, so let’s just say winter white is a practice for summer white… Also lately I dabbled a little bit into yellow outfits, blue, beige, and of course a lot of red, as you very well already know if you follow me on Instagram. Are my black outfits days over? Uhhh hell no, but it’s quite refreshing and fashion-fun to try wearing more colour, and monochromatic outfits, especially with spring almost here.

And YES I’m well aware this post might be a little too late buuuut winter ain’t over in my book till my mother hangs her winter coat and boots. Also it’s still freezing outside and I’ve sat on this post from before Christmas lol, when we went to a skiing resort, and since I don’t ski, I did outfits and photos instead. I love wearing white in winter and I’ve always wanted to do a winter white wearable look, so I resorted yet again to my white skinny jeans, which I paired with a white soft sweater, a white puffer jacket, a white hat, and then there were the brown snow boots and gloves which ‘ruin’ my chromatic, but they’re proper snow boots so at least that.

And yes I’m also aware that skinny jeans days are gone… but hey every now and then I go back. (quite frequently lately tbh #secret)

I did wonder whether or not this post was still relevant, and I think it is. I mean if I switch the boots with sneakers, show some ankle skin, and lose the hat and gloves… it’s a pretty decent warm outfit for early spring.

If it’s too warm outside for sweaters you can wear a white t-shirt white the jeans, and keep the white jacket, OR lose the jacket altogether and wear the white sweater. (aka sweaters as jackets outfits which are my all time faves and the definition of French chic and effortless). Shoes wise I’m a sneakers gal, but you can wear brogues, ankle boots, slides, pumps…

Back to that cold windy snowing winter day: we had so much fun that shooting these photos, that I forgot to reply my lipstick in between shots, after we took a lunch and coffee break.
