Golden Globes 2013 Red Carpet Dresses & Makeup! Who Was Best & Worst?

O.K. so finally the Golden Globes 2013 happened and it was all as we expected, actually better if I may I say so, fashion wise. With more best looks and dresses than worst, the 2013 Golden Globes Red Carpet was a truly fabulous one. Sure there were some small fashion horrors. Alyssa Milano I’m talking to you. What the hell was that all about? A gorgeous woman in a wrong dress & makeup. And of course your regular Helena Bonham-Carter, who’s starting to seem funny with time rather than bad. Oh… wait. No. Not really. Anyway, Hollywood’s posh people were just that: beautiful & glam. And of course talented. After all it was an award show, so we were bound to have some winners. Ben Affleck (sigh again), Jennifer Lawrence, Daniel Day Lewis, Hugh Jackman, Jessica Chastain, Anne Hathaway…This year it seemed as if a…

Best & Worst Dressed At Critics Choice Awards! Red Carpet Closeup!

Here comes another one… FashionTag is yet again covering a red carpet event. Said I’d slow down with them, but what the hell! So last night Hollywood’s most talented and beautiful people gathered and partied at the Critics Choice Awards. Sort of like an Oscars preview? Hmmm yes & no, I mean with Ben Afflek  (sigh. He’s so hot) being snubbed by an Oscar nomination, I doubt it. But for him, last night was the night, as he won Best Picture & Best Director with Argo (kudos to the man). Other winners (quite predictable to be honest with you) were: Jennifer Lawrence, Anne Hathaway & Daniel Day Lewis. I know it’s a night for the movies, but we rarely watch these shows without the nasty or great fashion comments, because why not call it like it is, it’s a fashion police raid out there and we’re all about…

Red Carpet At People’s Choice Awards! Who Looked Fab & Bad?

The red carpet season with its glitz & glam, winners & losers & the never ending lists of best & worst dressed is upon us. With a few days to go until the Golden Globes (this Sunday) & the Oscar nominees just announced, my email, FB and Twitter are already bombarded with columns and gossips of latest red carpet this & red carpet that. So we’ve got the Globes, the National Board of Review Awards (NYC), People’s Choice Awards. Oh my! I swear to God by the time it’s the Oscars we might just get bored with so many looks, styles and gowns. Right? To tell you the truth I don’t know how celebs do it (rolling my eyes). I mean awards every night? Plus imagine if you’re a really talented face out there, it’s a new speech, new heels, jewellery, gowns, hair & makeup every other…

Winners & Backstage At British Fashion Awards 2012! Who Wore What, Who Messed Up & Who Said What?

When a huge event such as the British Fashion Awards 2012 happens, especially in the so envied and appearance sensitive world of fashion – you’d expect perfection, right? Well… it’s more about fun, laid back, human mistakes & clinging champagne glasses. All London’s Style lot crowded at The Savoy Hotel yesterday November 27th to celebrate the world of the creatives-stylish-&-well-dressed. Some great dresses and outfits graced the red carpet and pleased our eyes; young, edgy and immensely talented designers gave shy smiles to the cameras and all in all it was a great night. It was your regular London posh people out to party and score some fashion awards night. And indeed Stella McCartney was out to get those awards: she put her crafted hands on both Designer of The Year and Designer Brand Award as Salma Hayek, looking stunning in the designer’s dress, handed her the British Titles. ThenStella,…

2012 Emmy Awards Makeup & Hair – Red Carpet Beauty Looks & Celebrities Personal Photos!

I guess we’re all quite familiar with the chaos just before a party or event: makeup, clothes, hair. Let me tell you it’s the same for the very famous faces of Hollywood. Yep… humans just like us, they go through the same rituals before hitting the red carpet. Sure they’ve got an army of stylists, makeup artists and PAs to pamper them and spoil them at all times – but if you take that out… they’re not too different from you & I. Right? To back this up, or not… FashionTag will give you a tiny insight on celebs getting ready, partying or arriving on the red carpet for the 2012 Emmys – through some of their Instagram/Twitter photos. And while we’re fishing out for details and peeking into closeups – we might as well discuss the beauty looks at The 2012 Emmys Awards. How was the makeup?…

2012 Emmy Awards – See The Best Red Carpet Dresses!

Another year another red carpet glitz and glam – this time one to celebrate & award best TV shows & actors/actresses. Yes…  last evening The 2012 Emmy Awards too k place in Los Angeles and it was a night of fun, fashion & glamour. For the 1st time in a long time it looked classy but laid back, with most of the looks easily taking home the best dressed award. Claire Danes (Lanvin gown) & Julie Bowen (Monique Lhuillier gown) took home more than best actresses, as both looked stunning in bright yellows. On a more fierce note, some ladies went for the classic hot red shade and looked gorgeous in different shades of the passionate hue. Ginnifer Goodwin went for a Monique Lhuillier heavily embroidered gown, that wasn’t too bad. In fact it was rather classy and safe. Not one to go for safety, regarding a wardrobe malfunction,…

2012 MTV Movie Awards. Best & Worst Dresses

Another red carpet event… another craze among all fashion bloggers… Though I’m not a huge fan of covering red carpet stories it’s just something that comes with the territory and besides it does come in handy sometimes to have a reference of evening/cocktail looks. Who knows what events we might be invited or have to go to & some inspiration might be quite helpful. Though it’s not the Oscars or the Cannes, MTV Movie Awards brings some edge, looseness and cool on the red carpet. It’s more of cocktail looks rather than red carpet. Shorter hemlines, lots of make up, bangles, wild hair, unconventional dresses, statement shoes, easy going looks or over the top outfits. It’s all permitted. And why not? After all it is a teenage event, it is more laid back. It is about being young, different etc. But with all the loose limits & fashion non-existing boundaries we…

2012 Met Gala Red Carpet. Best & Worst Dresses

All the fashion blogs are following the same trend at the moment: blogging about The 2012 Met Gala Red Carpet! With all the voluntary & involuntary research & reading I’ve been doing lately on this event I thought of blogging myself about it. Guilty as charged. I have always thought of The Met Gala Event as one of the fanciest and most glamorous red carpet events of the year. Amazing gowns. Famous people. Designers. An event where simplicty was left aside and it was OK to go over the top as long as it was with taste and elegance. But of course… things cannot stay the same for too long, and 2012 Met Gala, as extravagant and glamed up as it may have been – left me quite disappointed to be honest. Too much trying – Beyonce, we know you had a baby, don’t need to strip…
