2013 Emmy Red Carpet. Best & Worst Dressed.

Emmys-2013-Hair-Makeup-Red-Carpet-beauty-looksAs all red carpets before and those to come, the 2013 Emmys were a celebration and mirror of beauty & fashion, with most ladies looking stunning in their designer gowns, all dolled up, excited, a bit nervous yet relaxed at the same time. After all, it is to us these events bare the wow factor, to them, it’s just another working day with the inherent beauty & style top notch requirements. I don’t know what t is about these red carpets events but they get us hoked on the fashion critique chats every time. And though we love to see those who nailed it (and there were so many this year), ah… I swear the bitch persona sleeping in all of us comes to live when a famous face wears the worst dress ever. Must be the confirmation & satisfaction we get that we’re all but mere mortals, subjected to fashion failure every now and then, and that not even the stars with they’re array of stylists and beauticians can escape landing on a worst dressed list at least once. Feels good doesn’t it? Though let’s face it girls, everyone, and I mean everyone looks all prepped up for the event, and good, and they’re all there for a reason (talent and hard work) so we’re just playing a Fashion Guru pretend game over here. emmys-2013-dressesHaving said that, the 2013 Emmys Red Carpet came with a few trends we might want to keep an eye on if we’re to attend red carpet events ourselves this year. Ha! Read weddings, cocktails, dinners et all. 🙂 Muted colors in those powdered ice-cream shades (light blues, pinks, whites) alongside strong shades of purple and cobalt blues were pretty big. Emerald green took the spotlight in dresses and jewelry. Sheer fabric, a bit of glam goth and red-orange lips were a few repeated looks among the stars.

Best Dressed 2013 Emmy Red Carpet

The white dresses were (to me) the winners of the night. Taylor Schilling looked stunning in her simple white Thakoon dress with her one-strap sandals. Sofia Vergara did her ‘why fix it if it ain’t broken thing’: mermaid, cleavage, Vera Wang, va va voom spin. She’s a knock out, anyway, but I would have loved to see her with less jewelry this time and a different hairstyle. Maybe. Christina Hendriks looked beautiful in her simple yet dramatic Christian Siriano black dress and emerald green earrings. Fabulous look! Though I’m not a fan of all the structured ruffles on a dress, Rocsi Diaz was simply beautiful in her blue cobalt mermaid dress. Perfect silhouette, hair and makeup. taylor-schilling-emmys-2013-red-carpet-dressemmys-2013-red-carpet-dresschristina-hendriks-2013-emmy-red-carpet-dressemmy-red-carpet-dressSheer wise, Julianne Hough and Lena Headley rocked big time. Again, I was proved wrong, as I really dislike sheer on the red carpet, but they looked fantastic. E! stars Giuliana Rancic and Kelly Osbourne nailed it this year. julianne-hough-red carpet-dress-2013-emmys2013-emmy-red-carpet-dresses-12013-emmy-red-carpet-dresses-giuliana-rancickelly_osbourne-emmys-red-carpetOther Best Dressed ladies I thought were: Sarah Hyland in her emerald green dress. I do think the dress is a little too safe and old for her, but she did however looked more than stunning in this color. Rose Byrne, Kerry Washington & Malin Akerman make it to the best dressed list as well. 2013-emmy-red-carpet-dressesrose-Byrne-2013-emmy-red-carpet2013-emmy-red-carpet2013-emmy-red-carpetThen there are the OK girls: Elizabeth Moss, Tina fey, Zoey Deschanel, and maybe Heidi Klum. She’s so gorgeous all the time, but I’m not sold on her looks very often. I guess it’s just a matter of taste. I thought she was trying too much, she looked like a stiff statue desperately seeking attention… Just saying. elizabeth-moss-2013-emmy-red-carpet2013-emmy-red-carpet2013-emmy-red-carpetheidi-klum-2013-emmy-red-carpet-dreess2013-emmy-red-carpet-12013-emmy-red-carpet-dresses-january-jonesWorst Dresses 2013 Emmy Red Carpet

Ah… and the fun begins. With Lena Dunham. What in the name of God is that? Oh… wait Prada. Well, if Prada can’t save you, then you’re way off. Bad color, bad style, too big, too much. And what the hell was going on with her makeup? Next! Connie Britton – she wasn’t as bad as Lena, but she did come across as if she just stole an ancient Byzantine curtain and made it to the event. Anna Faris looked ridiculous in that yellow dress. The gown was fabulous just not for her hair and complexion. And then there was Claire Danes. I’ll refrain myself from swearing this time (though a **** is way called for), but despite the good reviews she got for that dress, I thought she looked so bad. Yes the dress was nice, amazing fabric, beads, lace et all, but, I did not like it on her. At all. And the rest of the looks speak for themselves. Or not. Feel free to disagree and let’s chat over all this (hot) mess. 🙂 lena-dunham-2013-emmy-red-carpetconnie-britton-emmys-2013-red-carpet-012013-emmy-red-carpet-dresses-anna-faris2013-emmy-red-carpet-dresses2013-emmy-red-carpet-dresses2013-emmy-red-carpet-dresses2013-emmy-red-carpet-dresses2013-emmy-red-carpet-dresses2013-emmy-red-carpet-dresses

2013 VMA: Red Carpet, Miley’s Twerks & Tongues!

Thought I’d stay away from all the hot mess that happened at the VMA’s this year, for no other reason than a tiny laziness to do a red carpet post yet again, and think well whether I should or should not take a stand on all of Miley’s bombshell persona coming out. The event per se will not even be up for discussion right now for the simple reason that I forgot to watch the awards this year (yeah I know, how ignorant of me. rolling my eyes right now), but I did browse the marvelous world wide web for red carpet infamous pics (kinda disappointing, I mean “dear celebs, y’all knew this was the VMA’s on MTV, not the Oscars or the likes, right?”), and my fashionista slash style-critique persona just couldn’t shut the hell up. So I had to do this post. 🙂 2013-vma-red-carpet-taylor-swiftIf I hadn’t known any better I’d say hell has frozen because (as much as it pains me, and it does) I’m gonna say it… best dressed at 2013 VMA’s was none other than Taylor Swift. From the design, cut, color, simplicity of that old Hollywood dress, to the hair and makeup (kinda same old same old, but I’ll let that one slide, as I’m in a good mood today), Miss Swift was stunning. There I said it. Why ”all the love” for the young artist? The poor thing has never done anything to piss anyone off, tbh with you, but I. Just. Don’t. Like. Her. And I think we’re all allowed to have that one person (whom we may not even know personally) who we just can’t see eye to eye with. Aaaaaanyway… her bff Selena Gomez was all super stiff stylish in her Atelier Versace gown… I’m OK with the dress, though I thought it was a bit too much, too matronly, though it might as well be one of those gowns that does not photograph well from all angles, cause I’ve seen a few pics in which I actually loved it. Continuing our best dressed (read OK) list is Katy Perry and her grillz. Will not got there today. Someday though we’ll talk grillz. katyperry-grillz-2013-vma-red-carpet2013 MTV Video Music Awards - Red Carpetselena-gomez-2013-vma-red-carpetI don’t know if it’s just me, or what, but I just think all the girls were too Golden Globes/Oscars for the VMA. Too much, too red carpet’ish. FYI, every now and then, our dearest idols, you might want to pull that stick out of your asses and take yourselves less seriously. For instance Ciara, Rita Ora, or even Naya Rivera, while they all looked so hot and beautiful, I just thought it was too much for the occasion. 2013 MTV Video Music Awards - Red Carpetnaya-rivera-2013-vma-red-carpet2013 MTV Video Music Awards - Red Carpetmiley-cyrus-2013-vma-red-carpet2013 MTV Video Music Awards - Red CarpetOthers like Miley Cyrus or Erin in her see-through-looks-like-sandwich-wrap-dress, were having just a bit too much fun. It was nice though to see Lady Gaga back, looking great and shocking us all with a normal black pretty nice dress. She did however went all the way in her sea-shells-costume 😉 later on. Good for you girl! 2013 MTV Video Music Awards - Red Carpet2013 MTV Video Music Awards - Red Carpet2013 MTV Video Music Awards - ShowAnd the rest were… bleah-borderline-OK. Oh… Ellie Goulding, now I thought she looked very MTV’ish VMA appropriate. (think posh/glam) and also Coco Rocha & Rihanna. Perhaps too simple, and everyday like looks, but the others should get a few notes from these gals: effortless, cool, sexy without even trying & fun. Just saying. ellie-goulding-2013-vma-red-carpetJennifer-Hudson-2013-vma-red-carpetshailene-woodley-2013-vma-red-carpetcoco-rocha-vma-red-carpet-2013rihanna-2013-vmaI remember the oh-so-present-today-90s, when I wouldn’t miss a single VMA or EMA, glued to MTV. That was a true celebration & party for the stars. Funky fun fashion forward looks in the same room with those musicians who couldn’t care less if they showed up in they bare bums, pajamas, or jeans. Nobody gave a fuck, yet it was this je m’en fish‘ism that had us all emulating rockstars & popstars like mad fans. All of the sudden with the naughties settling in we’ve all become too politically correct, too stiff, boring and bored. 2013 MTV Video Music Awards - Red CarpetPreoccupied more on what some websites or bloggers are saying about some event, dress, dance or Instagram pic, than about what they’re actually doing – celebs are giving us plain shallow eye-candy blog material for the Ka-ching! sound they get at the end of their day. And we the crowd… are so appalled by a 20 year old girl’s twerk. Seriously? We never had any problem when Oasis after winning their MTV awards would grab the mics to chat about A class drugs, getting wasted or banging some TV presenter. How come that never triggered the public’s dismay? 2013 MTV Video Music Awards - ShowSo what, Miley was shaking all her horny bits to some dude I don’t even like, dancing and singing her thang up there, while the Smiths were in shock (lol) and all of a sudden the world was a different place. Really now? Isn’t that what happens at most clubs, isn’t twerking and shaking asses and boobs so common these days? I would’ve imagined Madonna’s shows cured us of that puritanical hypocrisy a while ago. Besides, (this may come as a news flash for some) Miley is not Hanna Montana, and she’s not 10 anymore, she’s 20. She does get laid, and in this process of discovering all her woman-whatever-persona, she’s doing her own thing. It’s all zoomed in due to her VIP status, that’s all. Today she’s doing the Teddy Bear meets horny bitch theme, tomorrow she may turn all grunge, or boho-chic. miley-cyrusOh… and just for the record, while I couldn’t care less about what Miley‘s doing, the dance didn’t bother me a bit (reading all the tweets I was expecting it to be SO out of place, but after watching it on Youtube, I was like ”oh… is this it? wtf is the problem then?”). Other than that tongue, that is. That thing had a mind of its own and would just not stay in the bloody mouth.

And now let’s chat…

Punk Party At The Met Gala!

JoanSmalls-carousel_parties-met-galaThis year’s Met Gala sure had some controversy – fashion wise – with so many of you taking the Hate It or Love It side of the red carpet dresses. Was it too much? Too over the top? Too ridiculous? Or did the stars finally let their hair down on this one and got crazy style wise? I know most of you hated the looks and who can blame you/us, I mean did you see FashionTag‘s WTF Dresses list? (click here). OMG! But I have to be honest with you dolls… aside from the bad ones (which were utterly horrendous) I sort of liked the Red Carpet at the 2013 Met Gala. It was funky, crazy, edgy, fun and lots of stars chose to play up the punk look with uber wicked accessories: earrings, rings, nail art, hairdos, makeup, shoes... It’s the Oscars of the fashion lot so a little bit of weird is to be expected. Besides they’ll always gonna have the classic red carpet events for the more classy looks, right? Anyway… love it or hate it has sure got us talking about it and putting on our fashion critics hats on… so let’s just work with that. celebs-metgala-afterpartyThey came, they did the poses, the crazy faces, the punk & rock signs and then… they partied! And there’s nothing more delicious after a red carpet event than watching the stars backstage at an after-party. One more look at their hair & makeup and the dresses from a whole new angle. Who talked to who, who sat next to who, who photo bombed who? (we all know by now Jennifer Lawrence did it again lol. click here) Who got drunk? Who looked better or worse? Did Madonna try too hard and ended up looking ridiculous? Was SJP too over the top with that hat and dress? madonna-met-gala-afterparty-2013sjp-met-gala-2013-tablemetagala-carousel_party-table-settingBy the way, did you see the table setting and the food? Don’t get posher then this… Oh… and speaking of food (well sort of) how about that Alexa Chung’s kinky cream finger, Gerard Buttler was sucking on? I wonder what his gorgeous Romanian model, Madalina Ghenea thought about it? Anyway… the Brit It girl has got nothing on the Latina looking model. Sorry Chung! AlexaChung-gerard-butler-metgala-partySpeaking of the Brits… they sure stuck together backstage and stayed true to their party animal cool looking personas: Rita Ora, Cara Delevingne, Jourdan Dunn, Alexa Chung et all. JLo was having the time of her life dancing the night away next to her hot young man. She looked stunning. My favorite by far. Gisele Bundchen stuck close to her gorgeous man and looked super hot. Though I’ll tell you something about the Brazilian model: men seem to think she looks like a man!!! Wait what? Just today one of my lovely readers pointed out to me that, when seeing her, her hubby said she looked quite masculine. Funny? My BF and quite a few other people over time have pointed that out. Met Gala 2013 Red Carpet: Best & Worst! Who’s Your Fave?

tom brady and gisele-red-carpet-met-gala-2013Not too long ago I was bitching about covering red carpet events, though nobody held a gun to my head, and now here I am, overly excited to share with you last night’s Red Carpet Best & Worst looks from the 2013 MET GALA. I know, can I be more inconsistent? I guess it just comes to show you how every now and then we get an urge to love and hate those uber expensive gowns and gossip over who nailed it or not. Nothing wrong with it. Oh… and one more thing: all that Anna Wintour raining on Vivienne Westwood‘s parade talk (read the whole story here), plus the much gossiped about Kim Kardashian & Kanye West dinner at the Devil’s residence has indeed stirred my curiosity just a tiny bit. So just to set the record straight: fashion’s guru – Anna Wintour – banned an homage to the Queen of Punk, Vivienne Westwood, on the very MET GALA Punk: Chaos To Couture edition, and to top that cherry allowed Kim K to attend after banning her last year. Wintour, I guess somebody’s got a case of vagary. Or could it be that the Triple K’s needed some fashion advice? Which is not remotely an inappropriate question given the sofa looks on both Wintour & Kardashian. The 60 year old diva probably had to wear that Chanel dress (just to spite Westwood if not for anything else) and even she could tell it will not be her style night… so ‘who shall I call to make me look less stupid‘. Ding! And so the story unfolds with a beautiful Kim Kardashian draping herself in granny prints to sort of match the sofa & curtains on a spinster’s cottage in the woods. Why Kim? Why? And those gloves? And that Angelina leg? OMG. Don’t get me wrong now, I am not critiquing her pregnant style or whatev. I think the media should just back the fuck off and stop calling her fat. She’s pregnant! But she so could have gone for another look last night… Anyway. Enough about these two. wenn20322140"PUNK: Chaos To Couture" Costume Institute GalaWhen a friend of mine said to me just a few weeks ago, on a shopping spree which ended in me crushing yet again over spikes and studs, that the rock & punk attire is so last Tuesday I was like talk to the hand girlfriend. (1) Contrary to what some might think, with me always dropping the trend reports all over the place, I do not necessarily feel that one should take trends literally, as much as adapt them to their personal style. (2) I tend to disagree with her on this one. OK, so we might have had just a bit too much of spikes and studs (though I honestly do not believe it) but I think they’re still IN and if this PUNK: Chaos to couture MET GALA is not a clear sign, I don’t know what is. And indeed it was a cool display of classy meets Punk on the red carpet. Did you see Madonna? Wherever you stand on that one you gotta give the woman kudos for pulling off a total punk look a la Vivienne Westwood. It was shocking and very Madonna’ish. So was the red carpet at the 2013 Met Gala invaded by PUNK fashion: mohawks, chains, studs, pins, spikes, leather, lace, black et all? I should think so… it was pretty edgy, but then again the Met Gala tends to be a bit more adventurous.  red-carpet-met-gala-2013-madonnaLet’s get our hands dirty dolls and start taking sides and cutting into fashion’s fresh ‘meat’. Who owned it? Who was desperately seeking attention? Who was OK? And who are we still debating over?

Best Dressed – 2013 MET GALA Red Carpet

Quite a few ladies nailed it this year with my favorites being: Blake Lively in that beautiful powdered blue & dramatic black dress. The exact image of how a hint of punk can be added to a perfectly classy dress. Amber Heard in Emilio Pucci – simply stunning! Loved her hair and makeup too, actually I’m in love with this hairstyle that’s been going on for a while now: side swept/half shaved/side braided hair. Amanda totally rocked it. I guess a bit of Johnny Depp never hurt anyone 😉 Jennifer Lopez looked fabulous in her tight fitted uber sexual kinda gown, with an edgy iguana print and badass hair style. Sienna Miller went for rock’n roll as well in her white innocent classy gown topped by a grunge leather jacket and some punk’ish hair & ear accessories. Though they might have been a little too over the top I actually loved Nicole Richie‘s white dress & hair (thought it was wicked) & Coco Rocha‘s funky cool dress. Not for everyone, but she did pull it off brilliantly. Cara Delevingne was just her cool old self in that gorgeous Burberry punk black studded gown. (sigh). The queen of fashionistas Sarah Jessica Parker went all the way and gave us all a ‘this is how you do it bitch’ lesson. If anyone could nail a crazy Phillip Treacy hat and over-the-top Giles Deacon dress at such an event, it has got to be SJP. Watch and weep. Amanda Seyfried looked amazing in her dramatic feminine busy printed dress, and Emmy Rossum (one of my faves) really mastered the decadent innocent look in that white crispy dress perfectly matched with dramatic earrings and heavy makeup. Stunning combo. Same vibe I got from Mara Rooney in her white frilled punk zippers dress. Other 2 ladies I loved were: Minka Kelly (fabulous and dramatic) and Jennifer Lawrence (simply classic with a bit of retro punk to it). And then there were the classic black & white dresses that you can never go wrong with on the red carpet. red-carpet-met-gala-2013-blake-lively-hair-makeupred-carpet-met-gala-2013-blake-livelyred-carpet-met-gala-2013-amber-heard-makeup-hair"PUNK: Chaos To Couture" Costume Institute Galared-carpet-met-gala-2013-Jennifer-Lopez-makeup-hair"PUNK: Chaos To Couture" Costume Institute Galared-carpet-met-gala-2013-sienna-millerred-carpet-met-gala-2013-nicole-richiered-carpet-met-gala-2013-coco-rochared-carpet-met-gala-2013-cara-delevingnered-carpet-met-gala-2013-Sarah-Jessica-Parker"PUNK: Chaos To Couture" Costume Institute Galared-carpet-met-gala-2013-emmy-rossum-beautyemmy-rossum-red-carpet-met-gala-2013rooney-mara-red-carpet-met-gala-2013red-carpet-met-gala-2013-rooney-maraminka-kelly-red-carpet-met-gala-2013-beautyred-carpet-met-gala-2013-minkakellyred-carpet-met-gala-2013-jennier-lawrence-beautyred-carpet-met-gala-2013-jennifer-lawrence"PUNK: Chaos To Couture" Costume Institute Gala"PUNK: Chaos To Couture" Costume Institute Gala"PUNK: Chaos To Couture" Costume Institute Gala"PUNK: Chaos To Couture" Costume Institute Galared-carpet-met-gala-2013-emily-blunt"PUNK: Chaos To Couture" Costume Institute Galared-carpet-met-gala-2013-jennifer-morrisonUS-FASHION-MET-COSTUME-GALAred-carpet-met-gala-2013-kirsten-dunstred-carpet-met-gala-2013-taylor-swiftOK Dresses – 2013 MET GALA 2013 Red Carpet

These ones I basically just liked. Was not impressed but cannot hold them for bad either. Well maybe except for Katie Holmes side boob situation. Ha! Joking. I loved the dress, but the side boob thing was not very posh. Emma Roberts dress was kinda great, but not best worthy, and Gisele Bundchen… mini dress? Really? We know you got a knock out body but could you please do that red dress look from the past Met Galas one more time? Just saying. Then there’s the cut out trend that Nicky Minaj is doing. And you know what? It’s not that bad. Oh, and Solange Knowles is confused yet again over what she should wear: shorts, dress, long, short? So she (again) did them all in one. red-carpet-met-gala-2013-katie-holmesred-carpet-met-gala-2013-emma-robertsGisele-Bundchen-red-carpet-met-gala-2013red-carpet-met-gala-2013-gisele-bundchenred-carpet-met-gala-2013-kylie-minogueUS-FASHION-MET-COSTUME-GALA"PUNK: Chaos To Couture" Costume Institute GalaStill Debating Dresses – 2013 MET GALA 2013 Red Carpet

And the winner of making us a tad confused and still debating over the dress, goes to… (drums please): Beyonce in her Givenchy dress. She was edgy and opulent all right, but I really don’t know if I like it or not. She’s wearing that type of dress that just makes you feel borderline crazy, one minute I hate it and one minute I’m totally digging it. Not too sure about the hair maybe (too wild and busy at the top) and the gloves. I mean I get the boots add that glam punk razzmatazz but the gloves just kill the whole idea by crowding it. What do you think? red-carpet-met-gala-2013-beyonceBeyonceThen there’s Anne Hathaway‘s look. Wait. Is that her or Miley Cyrus? I swear that’s what I was like at first glimpse. And then I saw the boobs. Girl have you been doing some pumping? I get the same mood from her dress as from Beyonce’s… and now I’m in the I love it stage. So why not? The Miley hair? I love. And speaking of Miley… what do you think? Too much, trying too hard or just the right age and edginess in that Marc Jacobs dress? I kinda like it… Let’s see the others too and comment away.  anne-hathaway-bleach-blonde-hairred-carpet-met-gala-2013-anne-hathawayred-carpet-met-gala-2013-miley-cyrus-beauty-look"PUNK: Chaos To Couture" Costume Institute Galadonatella-versace-red-carpet-met-gala-2013julianne-hough-red-carpet-met-gala-2013"PUNK: Chaos To Couture" Costume Institute Galared-carpet-met-gala-2013-emma-watsonred-carpet-met-gala-2013-katy-perryred-carpet-met-gala-2013-kristen-stewartred-carpet-met-gala-2013-uma-thurmanWorst Dresses – 2013 MET GALA Red Carpet

I’ll be honest with you on this one… I can hardly contain my laughter. Well OK smirk. Anna Wintour managed to not pull it off this time.  Karma? Is that you? She probably thought she’ll do the table cloth look this year and fooled Kim Kardashian into doing the sofa look so they’d both look like psychedelic besties on a night out. I actually feel sorry for Kim, just because the press will not give her a tiny break on this one. red-carpet-met-gala-2013-anna-wintourred-carpet-met-gala-2013-kim-kardashian-kanye-westTwo ladies – Kate Beckinsdale & Cristina Ricci – tried doing the punk prom dress thing, but it looked a bit off key with the whole red carpet thing and age maybe. Don’t get me started on Gwyneth Paltrow though… really Gwyn? Throw-up pink is your new thing?  I know pink is pretty punk in that decadent sort of way but that look and that shade on her are just wrong. red-carpet-met-gala-2013-kate-beckinsale"PUNK: Chaos To Couture" Costume Institute Galared-carpet-met-gala-2013-gwyneth-paltrowchloe-sevigny-in-proenza-schouler-red-carpet-met-gala-2013WTF Dresses – 2013 MET GALA Red Carpet

And then there were those dresses that go beyond bad while making you do the double stare. One of the Olsens leads the way. Well that’s a big shocker (not). Then comes the matronly Ashley Greene who came dressed as a posh square, and Elle Fanning… WTF is that Elle? No. You will not get the age excuse on this one. And last (yeah I get embarrassed for her just by looking at it) is Cameron Diaz who did a Stella McCartney all-the-way on this one. The dress is great… but what the fuck is up with that hair color and beauty look. It’s absolutely sick. Is that cheap blonde look on purpose or what? What Trends To Steal From The Oscars?

5871-anne-hathawayPromise this is the last red carpet post for a long time now. Not that I hate them or anything (I loved covering the Oscars 2013)… but enough already! The red carpet season may be a bliss for celebs & the entertainment business… but it’s time consuming, and at the end of the day it’s pretty much been there done that. Or at least it starts to feel that way. Anyway… as I said in my yesterday’s post (click here for more) the 2013 Oscars Red Carpet was by far the best ever! If I were to label it (though I HATE labeling) I’d say it was all about Understated Glamour & Elegance. sandra-bullock-oscars-2013-hair-pieceBiggest Red Carpet Trend at the 2013 Oscars? Well… that’s easy (apart from Anne Hathaway’s nipple spectacle lol) – The Backwards Necklaces! The 2 winner ladies of the night Jennifer Lawrence & Anne Hathaway used the neck jewelries to embellish their back. So I guess it’s fine for us ladies to start treating everyone else form now own with our backs. Actually with our bejeweled backs. Nicole Kidman did it in a Chanel add, but it seems to not have caught up at all, so instead a few years later these 2 talented beauties or their stylists gave it a second shot. And it was a winner this time. It’s classy yet different and I love it. Is it YES or No to the backwards necklace trend? US-OSCARS-ARRIVALS85th Annual Academy Awards - ArrivalsWe’ve all seen the main theme of the 2013 Oscars – Old Hollywood Musical & Style, yet do not think for a minute it resumed to the actual ceremony. The Red Carpet was invaded with stars channeling their glamorous simple personas. So the makeup was natural: dark eyelashes, hint of blush, eye-shadow & glitter to a minimum and a bit of lipstick, that seemed to have been used as a color accessory rather than makeup attire. Best example? Jessica Chastain. Not only did she have one of the best dresses but the hair & makeup (Jessica Rabbit style) were pure perfection. Natural side parted waves, red lips for pop of color and simple seductive eyes. Charlize Theron, Amy Adams, Jennifer Lawrence, Anne Hathaway, Nicole Kidman (well, basically all except for Salma Hayek & Maria Menounos, both overdoing it a bit) opted for the same natural glow.

One one hand there was The Statement Earrings Trend embraced by stars like: Catherine Zeta Jones, Jennifer Hudson, Kelly Rowland, Zoey Saldana, Miranda Kerr at the afterparty, Nicole Kidman, Halle Berry. They all wore long, colored, sparkling, chandelier earrings…

Brilliant! Fantastic! Loved them! Jennifer Lawrence’s set was my favorite by far. Charlize Theron‘s simple diamond studs were the definition of understated glamour and elegance. Same goes for Naomi Watts & Amy Adams (diamond drops) or for Amanda Seyfried interesting sparkling earrings.

Love the diamond drop earrings (yes JLaw’s are definititely ones to ”steal”) and why not come clean… I actually really really like the Backwards Necklace! My question is… what will you be stealing? 🙂 xoxo

How Celebrities Partied After The Oscars? Sneak Peak Into The Vanity Fair After-party…

vanity-fair-oscar-party-2013-Aubrey-Plaza-Amy-Poehler-Rashida-JonesOne of the best things about any event, red carpet included is the debauchery that comes with it… towards the end. Right? Even the stars love a good gossip, delicious fattening foods and plenty of booze to let the steam out after a nervous-carrying event such as the 2013 Oscars. So after the ceremony ends, most of them are headed to the after parties. One of the biggest and most notorious remains The Vanity Fair Oscar Party. It’s sort of the same as with the Oscar ceremony: red carpet in front, for when the stars arrive, photographs taken, brief interviews mostly about post Oscar impressions or who/what they’re wearing et all.  Except that, once they go in… into that intimate, elegant, classic Hollywood atmosphere we don’t get that much access anymore. Yet… it is much like any posh event we might have attended. Except they’re all wearing famous designers and uber expensive clothes. oscars-2013-after-party-foods2013-oscars-afterpartyJohn-Travolta-vanity-fair-oscar-party-2013The Vanity Fair 2013 Oscar Party brought together loads of famous beautiful faces, from the A-listers (winners, losers, not nominated  not participants) to models & designers. Natalie Portman, Kate Bosworth, Gerard Butler and his beautiful girlfriend, Romanian model & actress Madalina Ghenea, Miranda Kerr, Selena Gomez, Diane von Furstenberg, Bono, Steven Tyler, Amy Poehler… they were all there, looking fab and having a great time. natalie_portman_en_diorvanity-fair-oscar-party-2013-jackie-Collins-Bono-Miranda-Kerr-Orlando-Bloommiranda_kerr_en_valentino-oscras2013-afterpartyGerard-Butler-oscar-pargy

For instance Jennifer Lawrence looked amazing in that super hot fitted metallic gown. Naomi Watts changed into a black and gold sequined dress, and Anne Hathaway opted for a pale blue column one… which again (as the Oscars dress) did not impress me a bit. Au contraire. Other beauties went for big ball gowns: Isla Fischer, Madalina Ghenea, Hillary Swank, Reese Witherspoon (same one as the Oscars), Jennifer Aniston (same one from the Oscars). While others went for slim & hot: Amber Heard, Karolina Kurkova (bad choice, if you ask me), Naomi Campbell, Alessandra Ambrosio, Rosie Huntington Whiteley (hers was actually ruffled). Anyway they all looked amazing, ready for those flashy lights and for the party inside! alessandra_ambrosio_en_zuhair_murad_oscars-2013-afterpartyAlessandra-Ambrosio-oscar-partyamber_heard_en_atelier_versace-oscars-2013-afterpartyanne_hathaway_en_saint_laurent-oscars-afterpartyAnne-Hathaway-vanity-fair-oscar-party-2013Ashley-Olsen-Catherine-Zeta-Jones-vanity-fair-oscar-party-2013vanity-fair-oscar-party-2013-Catherine-Zeta-Jones-Michael-DouglasChelsea-Handler-vanity-fair-oscar-party-2013diane_kruger_en_giambattista_valli_et_joshua_jackson_oscars-2013-afterpartyitem32.rendition.slideshowWideHorizontal.B4-Diane-Kruger-2Hilary-Swank-oscar-partyIlsa-Fisher-oscar-party-2013oscars-after-party-2013Reese-Witherspoon-oscar-party-2013naomi_watts_en_emilio_pucci-oscars2013-afterpartyIrina-Shayk-vanity-fair-oscar-party-2013jennifer_garner_en_gucci_et_ben_affleck-oscars-afterpartyJonn-Hamm-Jennifer-Westfeldt -vanityfair-oscar-party-2013jennifer_lawrence_en_dior_couture-oscars-afterpartyJennifer-Lawrence-vanity-fair-oscar-party-2013Jennifer-Lawrence-vanity-fair-oscar-party-2013-1karolina_kurkova_en_atelier_versace-oscars-afterpartyJennifer-Hudson-vanity-fair-oscar-party-2013Justin-Theroux-Jennifer-Aniston-oscar-partyvanity-fair-oscar-party-2013-Reese-Witherspoon-Jennifer-Anistonkate_bosworth_en_giambattista_valli-oscars-2013-afterpartyMarisa-Tomei-vanity-fair-oscar-party-2013naomi_campbell_porte_une_pochette_jimmy_choo-oscars-2013-afterpartyNaomi-Campbell-oscar-partyvanity-fair-oscar-party-2013-Quincy-Jones-Naomi-Campbellvanity-fair-oscar-party-2013-Zac-Posen-Naomi-CampbellNICKI-MINAJ-KIM-KARDASHIAN-KOURTNEY-KARDASHIAN-OSCAR-2013-PARTY-vanityfairoscars-afterparty-2013Olivia-Munn-vanity-fair-oscar-party-2013Richard-Gere-Elizabeth-Banks-oscra-party-2013vanity-fair-oscar-party-2013-Elizabeth-Banks-Hillary-Swankrosie_huntington_whiteley_en_valentino-oscars-afterpartyRosie-Huntington-Whiteley-vanity-fair-oscar-party-2013vanity-fair-oscar-party-2013-Vanessa-Hudgens-Selena-Gomezsolange_knowles_porte_des_sandales_jimmy_choo-oscars-2013-afterpartyvanity-fair-oscar-party-2013-Solange-Knowlesvanity-fair-oscar-party-2013-Halle-Berry-Robert-de-NiroIf you were a fly on the wall, in there, who would you have most loved to spy on? Oscars 2013 Red Carpet! Best & Worst Dressed, Makeup & Hair Closeup…

The very coveted event of the year – Oscars 2013 – came and went in a heart beat, or so it seemed and now we’re left with the usual red carpet talk, best and worst moments, dresses, winners, parties snap-shots, celebs tweetpics and instagrams… same old same old. Yet we so love this! As promised to you last night on Twitter we are today covering all the delicious moments that happened last night and with them the classic Oscars 2013 Red Carpet – Best & Worst Dressed. But… first thing’s first, so until we put our fashion police hats on, one thing I must confess, is that I loved the 2013 Oscars theme last night: Old musical Hollywood! Though lots of hints were pretty much thrown in our face before the ceremony (Les Miserables anyone? And Catherine Zeta Jones performing live?) I did not expect to be thrown back in time and watch the beautiful Charlize Theron and the hot Channing Tatum dancing like those Hollywood icons of the ’50’s. It continued in the same note, and it was magnificent! channing-tatum-dancing-oscarsadele-oscars-2013-1jennifer-aniston-oscarsanne-hathaway-oscars-2013channing-tatum-435What about the winners? Super excited about ”Argo’‘ winning best picture (yay) and you had to love that genuine emotional moment when Ben Affleck thanked Jen Garner. Awww. Those two remain my all time fave couple, a family example, beautiful, down to earth, happy, loving, talented. And they looked amazing last night. Jennifer Garner’s deep purple ruffled strapless dress was stunning, and her hair and makeup were simple, relaxed and just beautiful. OK I’ll be honest with you… from the front the dress was amazing, but from the back… hmm not so much. And just because those ruffles were too many. Moving on, let’s talk about our fave part at the 2013 Oscars best & worst dressed! ben-affleck-jen-garner-oscarsJGarner.BenAffleck-oscars-2013jennifer-garner-oscars-2013jennifer-garner-3-290Best Dressed @2013 Oscars Red Carpet

Unlike other times, this year and this carpet event had the shortest list of worst dressed. No surprise there as the stars chose more classic cuts and simple designs (no more over-the-top ruffles, one-shoulder funky designs, risque gowns). Trends we spotted? That is aside from the Side Boob Trend? (check out Anne Hathaway btw). Well… there were lots of Strapless Gowns, Sequins & Pale/Nude Shades. Makeup & Hair were simple, relaxed and understated, I mean there was no obvious trend makeup wise, no bold-lips-are-in or smoky eyes are back. So… let’s begin! Charlize Theron was the most gorgeous ever in her white peplum, long train Dior Haute Couture dress. If anyone could pull off such a short pixie haircut on the red carpet – well… that’s Charlize. With that face, and that statuesque body she just proved us that less is more and simple will make you stand out of the crowd anytime. Naomi Watts looked perfect in her asymmetric cut Armani Prive grey’ish blue sequined gown. It was sexy, fitted, slim, super star-style and red-carpet appropriate! Jessica Chastain pulled off an Old Hollywood look with her nude Armani Prive dress – strapless, fitted, simple, and though she might have risqued being too washed out (nude dress, light red hair, pale skin) she actually made it all work exceptionally with the red lips. It just pulled the whole look together. Amanda Seyfried can wear a garbage bag and still look beautiful so she has made our best dressed list, but not regardless of her gown, cause she did look amazing in that nude, sequined, fitted Alexander McQueen dress. Her hair was pulled back in a relaxed bun and she was wearing simple makeup. Charlize-Theron-2013-oscars-red-carpetcharlize-theron-3-290charlize-theron-oscars-2013-hair-makeupNaomi-Watts-oscars-2013-red-carpetNaomi-Watts-oscars-2013-red-carpet-1Jessica-Chastain-oscars-2013-red-carpetjessica-chastain-oscars-2013-hair-makeupamanda-seyfried-oscars-2013-hair-makeupamanda-seyfried-oscars-2013-red-carpetI also loved Zoe Saldana’s Alexis Mabille Haute Couture dress, though I hated her shoes. I guess nobody was looking at the sandals with that body, gown, perfect face and sleek hairstyle. In this sea of pales and sequins came the beautiful Kerry Washington in her Miu Miu red dress with super embellished bodice and Jennifer Aniston. Yep ladies… what a moment she has chosen to ditch the black. The color was amazing, but I’m still not sure if that red Valentino dress was right for her. Sometimes she seemed to be sinking in it, but other times (when she walked on the stage for example) she looked stunning. Maybe the hair was the problem, had it been pulled back or up in a loose bun, it might have made that dress work better. Anne Hathaway was… not my favorite by far. Side boob? Checked. Nipple? Checked. That Prada gown did not speak to me at all. But it’s just my opinion. She did look stunning, I admit, I just expected something else. And the gorgeous, beautiful and young Jennifer Lawrence has got to have a soft spot for big complicated dresses. The only thing I loved about her white strapless couture dress was the back necklace. Well not really, actually, but it did not blow me away. The upper part was ill fitted. This girl has got boobs, but that dress made her look flat. And she couldn’t make up her mind between mermaid or princess so she went with both cuts. Too big and too ruffled for your age Jen!!! Doesn’t the tripping on the stairs scream enough to the complicated designs? Still… she did not make the worst dressed list, just cause she can pull off almost any look. Besides I’ve seen her in worse, so for her… this is a step ahead.  Zoe-Saldana-oscars-2013-red-carpetzoe-saldana-3-290Kerry-Washington-oscars-2013-hair-makeupKerry-Washington-oscars-2013-red-carpetjennifer-aniston-oscars-2013-red-carpetjennifer-aniston-oscars-makeup-hairAnne-Hathaway-oscars-2013-red-carpet-pradaanne-hathaway-3-290Jennifer-Lawrence-oscars-2013-red-carpetjennifer-lawrence-oscars-2013-hair-makeupjennifer-lawrence-oscars-2013-winningOther ladies who stunned were Jane Fonda. OMG that woman is either lying about her age (she’s actually 38) or she’s an alien  That’s it I’m hitting the gym this week! Catherine Zeta Jones was beautiful as always in her fitted gold statuesque dress, Adele kept is simple and classic in black, as did Giuliana Rancic & Kelly Osbourne. Amy Adams went for powdered blue and fantasy ruffles with her strapless dress… and you know what? I think she looked beautiful! Jennifer Hudson opted for comfy but hot with her blue sequined long sleeved slim dress. Pretty gorgeous. And the hair? OMG – amazing! Sandra Bullock was fabulous! Loved the dress, hair, details… perfect. Nicole Kidman finally got it right this time. And Kristen Stewart was kinda sweet, right? jane-fonda-oscars-2013catherine-zeta-jones-oscars-2013adele-oscars-2013-hair-makeupadele-oscars-2013giuliana-rancic-oscars-2013kelly-osbourne-oscras-2013amy-adams-oscars-2013jennifer-hudson-oscars-2013kristen-stewart-oscars-2013-red-carpetkristen-stewart-oscarsnicole-kidman-oscars-2013sandra-bullock-oscars-2013-hair-makeupsandra-bullock-oscars-2013-red-carpetstacy-kiebler-oscars-2013stacy-keibler-3-290Worst Dressed @Oscars 2013 Red Carpet

Errr… besides Helena Bonham Carter you mean? That would be Salma Hayek in that horrible Alexander McQueen dress, which in itself was not bad, it made her body look fantastic but the neck detail ruined it. It made her look as if she had no neck, just a huge head attached to a tiny body. Not too flattering hair nor makeup either. Halle Berry… Why?! When I 1st saw her arrive on the red carpet I was so sad… I so love this woman, but when she misses on the red carpet, she misses big time. What the hell was she thinking with that long sleeved grey sequined dress? But wait… then I saw her on the stage and she looked stunning, like a statue. Beautiful, hot, confident… Still not my fave dress for her, but I suppose it’s a matter of taste. Maria Menounos thought she was a Popsicle or going to an 1980’s prom. I mean bright pink and huge hair? Really? Kelly Rowland was a mess, that’s all I’m gonna say. Sometimes less is more. Actually on the red carpet it’s always safer to go for simple, classic with a twist rather than over do it and risque a total red carpet miss and landing on worst dressed lists. salma-hayek-oscars-2013-red-carpetmaria-menounos-oscars-2013kelly-rowland-oscars-2013olivia-munn-oscars-201385th Annual Academy Awards - ArrivalsWell this was it for our 2013 Oscars Red carpet reviews! 2013 GRAMMYs Red Carpet – Best & Worst Dresses!

When a few days ago it was announced that all 2013 GRAMMY attendants must pay attention to a few fashion restrictions… the whole media was raising eyebrows and questions as to how that’s gonna work out. I mean the GRAMMYs have always been that one red carpet event where over-the-top was the rule, fashion wise. How were all those ”no’s” gonna work for celebs? Well… (breath now) the restrictions worked in favor rather than against the stars. Truth is, the 2013 GRAMMYs Red Carpet was one of the best in years, sure there were a few rule breakers (thank God for that salt and pepper), but you know what makes a great red carpet event stand out? Both the best as well as the worst looks and dresses. And though it was all good… oh there were a few ladies out there who I don’t know what they were thinking…

Here’s Justin Timberlake performing & then he & wifey Jessica Biel chatting with Beyonce justin-timberlake-grammys-2013-show-650-430grammy-2013The Red Carpet fashion trend of the night was long fluid A-line gowns, lots of sheer texture (well if you can’t do cut-outs you just fake a cover-up, right?) & basic color. Some celebs opted for the classic sequined & metallic look (Carrie Underwood who was beautiful as always yet same old same old) while others chose trousers?! Yes dolls, Beyonce opted for a trouser suit, which was pretty fabulous on her, yet can’t help myself to agree with some voices out there who said that she can’t find a fashion balance if it kills her. She always shows up in too glamed up (drag-style) outfits or super office style ones. Hmm. Well she can pull off any, so whatev, right? carrie-underwood-grammy-2013-red-carpetThe 55th Annual GRAMMY Awards - ArrivalsBest Dressed @The 2013 GRAMMYs

Rihanna was by far the fashion star of the night in her amazing Azedine Alaia red dress, brown curls and hot lips. Loved the super romantic feminine look, that had a bit of edge with the sheer texture (you could still see her nipple piercing). Riri’s pal, Katy Parry pulled off a fantastic look in that ice-cream-green color dress: long sleeves, neck sparkling details and huge super sexy cleavage! Hot Hot Hot! Kelly Rowland was all sheer stripes and hotness herself in that black fabulous dress. Natasha Bedingfield went for red and stunned in her fluid flowy dress. Taylor Swift opted for the same fluid trend in her white Greek style dress. Love the dress. Not too crazy about her same hair, same style predictability. Adele finally ditched black for a flowery knee-length dress and looked rather nice in it. Beyonce looked stunning in her trouser suit… just a bit too office style for the Grammys. Maybe? But she was beautiful. And her sister!!! OMG… that girl’s got style. Absolutely loved Solange‘s dress and shoes. Ashanti was pretty OK as well in her black flowery fluid dress with a slight see-through texture. rihanna-grammy-2013-red-carpetRihanna-dress-grammys-2013katy-perry-grammy-2013-red-carpetnatasha_bedingfield-grammy-2013-red-carpetThe 55th Annual GRAMMY Awards - Red Carpetadele-grammy-2013-red-carpetThe 55th Annual GRAMMY Awards - ArrivalsThe 55th Annual GRAMMY Awards - Red CarpetThe 55th Annual GRAMMY Awards - ArrivalsThe 55th Annual GRAMMY Awards - ArrivalsAnd then there were the metallic sequined black gowns & the just-OK ones. Not bad at all… just a bit too ‘been there done that’. Carrie Underwood, Allison Williams (her grey dress was pretty great though), Faith Hill (too business like look) & Alicia Keys who’s always going for the same cut out patterns and styles. But the leather detail of her dress was fantastic! Loved it. And then there were the OK ones: Kate Dennings & Karlie Kloss. These 2 hotties went for shades of blue and though the dresses were nice I would have liked something a bit more glam from them.  The 55th Annual GRAMMY Awards - ArrivalsThe 55th Annual GRAMMY Awards - Arrivalsfaith-hill-grammy-2013-red-carpet The 55th Annual GRAMMY Awards - ArrivalsThe 55th Annual GRAMMY Awards - Red CarpetThe 55th Annual GRAMMY Awards - Arrivals

Worst Dressed @The 2013 GRAMMYs

Now they may not all be bad… just not really my style. Regardless of the gowns all ladies looked fabulous: hair & makeup. So… shall we start? Jennifer Lopez… we all know how amazing you look despite your age… yet you don’t have to try so hard and pull an Angelina on us. What was that black thing on her. Oh wait… a dress? Just saying. Kimbra… don’t get me started. She looked like she fell from the stars and had some trouble landing. And Florence Welch… don’t like her style whatever she wears, so I won’t even go there. Don’t know what the whole fashion hype is with her anyway. The 55th Annual GRAMMY Awards - ArrivalsThe 55th Annual GRAMMY Awards - ArrivalsThe 55th Annual GRAMMY Awards - Arrivalskimbra-grammy-2013-red-carpetThat’s it for the red carpet drama. amfAR NYC Gala Benefit 2013 – Kicks Off Fashion Month Season!

karlie-kloss-beauty-amfar-gala-2013… and the posh month of fashion is upon us yet again. 2013 – 2014 Fashion Month kicks off another Fall Winter season collection with New York city designers and the fashion crowd flocking over to the big apple in their fancy heels, expensive coats, luxurious bags and busy agendas & phones. It’s that time of year when all of us with a soft-spot for all fashion things will blog, take photos, research & why not go to some of our favorite fashion shows. Well… actually forget favorite. Those we can get into. So how does Fashion Week season get started? Why with a fancy red carpet event of course – the amfAr Gala Benefit, a black tie event that has, since 1998, become one of New York City’s most successful and high-profile AIDS benefits, gathering la creme de la creme of the entertainment, fashion & art crowd who all support this noble cause. sarah-jessica-parker-beauty-2013-amfar-galaamfar-2013-gala

On Wednesday evening the glamorous faces of fashion & entertainment put on their best gowns and stepped into the spotlight to honor individuals who have made exceptional contributions to the fight against AIDS.  The NYC gala is always held on the eve of New York Fashion Week, and kicks off the show season with cocktails, dinner, a live auction of luxury items, and a special tribute to the honorees. (Heidi Klum, Keneth Cole, Janet Jackson). Among the beautiful faces that graced the red carpet this year I loved: Sarah Jessica Parker in a pink silky fluid dress (listen, not her best choice but this uber charismatic woman has got style and she can pull of literally any dress, look & gown…), Alexa Chung (same preppy style, same haircut, same awkwardness… alright I guess. Definitely not bad but she was named by a few websites as the best dressed. Really? I’ve seen better, to be honest with you), Poppy Delevigne (that tea length silky metallic gown was pretty gorgeous on the posh Brit), Leigh Lezark (she’s a blonde now. yes or no to this new look?), Doutzen Kroues (loved her dress), Heidi Klum (stunning), Ashlee Green (amazing look) and some other ladies who had a bit of a carpet miss this time (scroll down for worst dressed).

SAG Awards 2013 Red Carpet! Best & Worst Dresses!

Actor Bradley Cooper and actress Jessica Chastain arrive at the 19th annual Screen Actors Guild Awards in Los AngelesIn case you’ve got a case of ”I lost track of time” or amnesia due to your busy schedule, then all these red carpet events should be just the right kind of reminder. It’s January!!!! And we’re invaded by blog posts, articles, news, fashion police shows on all sorts of unoriginal subjects all based on the same money making theme: Red Carpet this, Red Carpet that – Best & Worst Looks/Dresses. Well you got the idea. Told you there’s something so selfishly appealing about playing the fashion cops that we just can’t help ourselves. To cut a long story short and not beat around the bush for too long… here it is: Last night Hollywood celebrated and partied at yet another award event – The SAG Awards 2013. And guess who won? Argo (eat your hear out Oscars), Anne Hathaway, Jennifer Lawrence, Jessica Chastain… same people basically. And good for them. Watched most of the films and have to say hats down to them all!Anne HathawayThe best dressed of the SAG 2013 Red Carpet were by far a few ladies that stood out, looked effortlessly beautiful and had a bit of glamour meets understated elegance: Amanda Seyfried in a blue Zac Posen mermaid dress & Jessica Chastain who looked fabulous in a red Alexander McQueen red mermaid gown. I also loved Jennifer Garner in her gold sequined strapless fitted Oscar de la Renta dress. I swear this woman looks more beautiful by the day. And she seems to not try at all… hmm. There’s your secret. Lea Michele was pretty fab in Valentino. I’m not a big fan of pink dresses (although Nina Dobrev too picked a pink Elie Saab and was gorgeous in it, so… guess it’s a matter of taste) but she pulled it off. My Latina crush was a stunner as always, loved Sofia Vergara in that white Donna Karan gown. Same mermaid silhouette though a bit reinvented (thank God, I was beginning to get bored with her wearing the exact same design every time). It was flowy, fluid, more simple… Fantastic look! Tina Fey & Amy Poehler went for classic elegance in black gowns and looked perfect. Simple Oscar de la Renta & Zuhair Murad dresses that just proved you can never go wrong with black. Helen Hunt was all glamed up but rather simple in her Romona Keveza grey sequined gown and Julianne Moore took the plunge in Chanel and stunned in a sweet, elegant and beautiful dress. The brides of the SAG 2013 were, alongside Vergara, Kerry Washington in a white Rodarte gown & Naomi Watts in a white sequined Marchesa. Other ladies who stunned on the red carpet were Naya Rivera in a black hot mermaid dress, Nicole Kidman in Vivienne Westwood who pulled it off this time (though I thought the dress could have been slightly longer) & Viola Davis who rocked her exotic turquoise Monique Lhuillier fluid dress. amanda-seyfried-beauty-look-sag-2013amanda-seyfried-red-carpet-sag-zac-posenjessica-chastain-sag-2013-makeupjessica-chastain-al-mcqueen-sag-red-carpetamy-poehler-zuhair-muradhelen-hunt-sag-red-carpet-romona-kevezajennifer-garner-red-carpet-sag-2013-oscar-de-la-rentajulianne-moore-beauty-sag-2013julianne-moore-sag-red-carpet-chanelkerry-washington-rodarte-sag-awards-2013-red-carpetlea-michele-beauty-look-sag-awards-2013lea-michele-valentino-sag-red-carpetnaomi-watts-sag-red-carpet-2013-marchesanaya-rivera-beautynaya-rivera-donna-karannicole-kidman-sag-awards-2013-red-carpet-viv-westwoodnina-dobrev-sag-awards-red-carpet-2013-elie-saabsofia-vergara-donna-karan-ateliertina-fey-beauty-sag-2013tina-fey-oscar-rentaviola-davis-monique-lhuillierUnlike other red carpet events, when the worst dressed list was never-ending  this time at the SAG all the beauties managed to pull it off. Though they may not be on a so called SAG worst dressed… the following ladies were not my faves. Or lets just say they were just OK. Well apart from January Jones… what was she thinking? Errr trying to channel a posh waitress on the red carpet? Or Claire Danes in Givenchy? I will not even got there. Wasn’t too keen on Freida Pinto‘s pink gown either, or Marion Cotillard‘s. It looked as if the French beauty just pulled all the fabric under her belt. Julianna Marguiles‘s beauty look was stunning but her dress… OMG. Forget about it. Not too keen on Michelle Dockery‘s black side boob dress either, nor Jennifer Lawrence in Dior. I honestly do not know why I’m never feeling Miss Lawrence’s carpet looks… I swear I try, but there’s just something wrong about some of those gowns. It’s like they don’t do her justice. And though this Dior one was alright… I was (yet again) just a tiny bit disappointed. As for Anne Hathaway… she looked beautiful, from her ankles up. I don’t generally like ankle length red carpet dresses, there I said it. Ah… well, but what do I know. Enough rambling. I’ll just let you decide for yourselves and please feel free to tell me your faves!
